Joseph Ndung'u is among the pioneers of Choice Microfinance Bank. He has over five years’ professional working experience in finance and operation where he has gained vast experience.
Joseph, holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance from Catholic University of Eastern Africa and a certificate of proficiency in Insurance from College of Insurance. He has also pursued Certified Public Accountancy.
He has been involved in various projects including implementation of Core Banking, Visa ATM card partnership, mobile banking and SMS banking.
Joseph provides leadership and alignment in establishing and maintaining a strong culture of adherence to existing policies, procedures and controls across the banks operations.
George Mutinda is an expert in IT with over 12 years’ experience in the field. He has experience in systems support, networks, databases and systems development having worked with several financial entities.
George is a certified Microsoft Systems Engineer, Oracle Certified Professional and Network Plus. He is also a graduate of Strathmore Business School Leadership Program. He is currently pursuing CPA (K).
As part of the bank’s pioneer team, George is tasked with driving the bank’s ICT strategy towards digital banking.
(FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION)
Kenneth Njoroge is an accomplished professional with over 9 years working experience. He has vast exposure in finance, audit, risk and compliance, project management and credit control drawn for working with Ernst & Young, Micro Enterprises Support Programme Trust ( MESPT) among other reputable entities.
Kenneth holds a Bachelor of Commerce & Business Administration degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology where he is also pursuing his Master of Science degree in Project Management. He is a CPA (K) holder and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
Kenneth is responsible for driving the bank’s overall economic strategy.
Anthony Kamau oversees the operational procedure, principles in the areas of information flow, business processes, and look for opportunities to expand. Previously worked for United Nations as a Senior IS executive, where he gained a wealth of experience in international trade and database management in ERP systems.
Anthony pursued business Information systems from the University of Nairobi, a member of LIMIS specializing in data and project management. He has a strong bakground in information technology,innovation both front and back end solutions.
At Choice Microfinance Bank, Anthony enhances the daily running of the branch operations, product management and strategizes on maximizing diaspora investment and remmitance to be more productive and effective.
(RISK AND COMPLIANCE)
Tabitha Ndunguis in charge of Risk and Compliance. She has a working experience in Procurement, Finance and administration where she has gained vast experience.
Tabitha holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing and Supplies Management from Chuka University and is currently pursuing Certified Public accounts(CPA).
Tabitha is responsible for overseeing the compliance function of the Bank to ensure that applicable compliance risks are identified, sufficient resources are allocated to their management and those risks are addressed consistently and to the required standards. She ensures the bank maintains adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements established by regulators.
George Mwangi is the internal auditor. He has several years of experience in internal and external audit.
George is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Moi University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, from the University of Nairobi.
